Lazy Days

Image
Good afternoon fellow bloggers. I have had a lovely day off work today as its half term. My son thinks he is too old to do things with his mum at half term but I had other ideas. We spent a really nice day together and tomorrow its off to the British Museum with his cousin. His dad works next door to the museum so we can all have lunch together.

Enough waffle and onto the card. I really enjoyed making this card. I have rediscover the Gorjuss Girl stamps and fallen in love with them all over again.

I have used First Edition papers again. This time it's summer breeze. I didnt have a die big enough for the back ground so I used my Cricut with the sentimental s cartridge at 5.5 inches. I think the shape works quite well. The cloud and the bunting has been cut using a Magnolia Doohickey set.

The heart is a chipboard piece that has been coated with several layers of embossing powder by stampendous. I felt the need for a bit of glam on this card so I used a wide piece of cream cotton lace …

Teddies little Christmas friend

Good evening every one. I have not been about for the past week because we have just had a major office relocation and time has been limited. I've been covered in dust most of the time so not felt much like crafting. But today finally all of the crates arrived at our new location and all of the important boxes got unpacked so back to normal!!!!!!!!!!! I will endevour to be a better blogger and shall be around over the next few days to have a look at your lovely creations.

Any way I managed to put together a Christmas card and would like to share........

I have cracked open a new Christmas pad from First Edition for this one. The pad is called Christmas Joy. I think it is going to be one of my favourites. As I was getting into the Christmas spirit I had to use this brilliant newembossing powder from Stampendous. It's called shabby white embossing enamel and I must say I love it. It really made the chipboard pieces on the card pop.  The cute image is from Lili of the Valley (anoth…

Christmas on the moon

Not sure what has come over me today but here's another post and then I am off to finish my teddy Bo card.

I love this Lili of the valley stamp so much. The photo seems to have a bit of a yellow tone about it. I am not sure why it probably just mean that I need to brush up my photographic skills a bit more!!! any way the colours are much more crisp in real life.

Right down to business. The papers are are from a stack by dove craft called Noel. I was really impress with these papers as I got them on special for £2.99. A bit of a bargain I thought. I ran a bit of picket fence around the edges but I am not sure if it works. The metal corner is from Wild Orchid crafts. the sentiment is from a stamp set by wild rose studios. The cute little buttons I found in my stash.
I have coloured the stamp using copics.
I hope you like it  Jayne x

Pink Heart

Image
Good evening everyone. I hope you all had a lovely weekend.
Today I would like to share with you a really simple card that I created for the Less is More challenge. The challenge was to use one layer include a heart and use minimal embellishments. Well I don't do well with one
layer challenges but hey ho you have to come out of your comfort zone some times.

I started rummaging around my craft draws looking for a suitable stamp for this challenge and found right at the back this beautiful floral heart by PSX stamps. I have had this stamp for years and it hardly ever sees the light of day. I am definitely going to us it more often now!
One I had found my center piece I just knew what I was going to do with it. I took a plain white D5 card and punched the bottom using the Martha Stewart garden trellis punch. I don't think that you can see in this picture but I have scored 2 lines for the ribbon to sit between. A little pink distress ink and a touch of stickles and I was almost done…

Blue

A very Very quick one and then I must go hoover. Over at less is more they challenging you to create a card using the same colour as your eye's. Well mine are blue so here's my blue card

Sorry the photo's not very good

I have used a stampers anonymous stamp by Tim Holtz. The Bird has been cut out of chip board and painted with crackled picket fence with a light dusting of broken china distress ink.
I hope you like it  Jayne x

Snowflakes

Image
Good afternoon everyone. I really don't seem to bale to get my act together at the moment.  Chris my son has just started a new secondary school and we are still trying to get a routine together. Work is manic and none of our software seems to work so I am slowly pulling my hair out.

Any way enough moaning here is my card for today:

Snowflakes

I am try out some of that beautiful German glass glitter on my Prima flowers at the moment and to be honest I'm a little afraid of it. I am not sure you can see it that well in these photo's but it looks pretty in real life. The gorgeous snow flakes are cut using a set of Sizzix dies that I bought last year.

The pretty stamp is one of my new babies that I bought from Lilli of the Valley at Alley Pally recently. I have made the fur on her coat and hood look fluffy by using flower soft in white.
